She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that have won individual teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals in the floor and team events, in addition to the bronze medal for the balance beam, which made her the most decorated American gymnast in the Games.
